It stretches across several communes, offering breathtaking views. The panorama is particularly stunning. From here you can see from San Remo to Saint-Tropez. On a clear day, you might even catch a glimpse of Corsica. And if you turn your gaze inland, the majestic peaks of the Mercantour rise in the distance. This vantage point wasn’t lost on the area’s earliest inhabitants – Celto-Ligurian tribes. They recognized its strategic importance and built defensive structures here. Later, in the 19th century, military authorities constructed the forts of La Revère and La Drate. These forts, built between 1879 and 1885, were meant to protect Nice.
