This impressive structure will house a breathtaking array of animals. Many of them once roamed the Pannonian Sea and Lake. Millions of years ago these waters covered parts of present-day Hungary. Imagine ancient sea cows and sharks swimming in a massive aquarium. This Pannonian Sea aquarium will be a major attraction. It will contain over two million liters of water. The Biodome will also showcase bonobos and Indian rhinoceroses. Other smaller mammals birds and reptiles will live in this unique environment. The Biodome’s design aims to show the possible coexistence of humans and nature. It will highlight the impact of humans on the environment and climate change. Outside the Biodome are spacious outdoor enclosures. These connect to the indoor spaces. Asian elephants will enjoy a modern enclosure system here. The outdoor areas will include park sections and walkways. The vegetation will complement the animals and their habitats. Pannon Park’s location holds a rich history. From 1910 to 1950 it was home to the English Park. From 1950 to 2013 an amusement park operated on this site. Today the park is undergoing a transformation. The Zoo inherited two historic amusement rides. The Roller Coaster and the Fairy Tale Boat await restoration. The Schäfner carousel has already been renovated and reopened to the public. This offers visitors a glimpse into the past. This park blends modern zoo exhibits with historical significance. Pannon Park promises a unique and educational experience. It will be a place where people can discover the past and the present. They can connect with the natural world. This complex will also include a visitor center and catering units. Beyond Pannon Park itself a small English garden will add another layer of charm. It’s a place where the past lives on in the heart of modern Budapest. It is a place you won’t soon forget.
