Hidden amidst the lush greenery of Margaret Island, a true gem awaits: the Palatinus Bath. Ever wondered how a bath could be amusing? Palatinus Bath answers that question. Opened in 1919 as an open-air bath, Palatinus Bath quickly became a beloved spot for both locals and tourists. Its popularity led to expansion in 1937, adding a building with distinct Bauhaus features. This building, now under monument protection, has stood the test of time. In 2017, Palatinus Bath underwent renovations, creating an all-year-round bathing experience. Now, visitors can enjoy thermal pools, a children’s pool, and saunas year-round. The bath’s thermal waters are rich in minerals like calcium, magnesium, sodium hydrogen carbonate, fluoride, and methacovate sulfide. The waters also contain free carbon dioxide, adding to their therapeutic properties. Palatinus Bath offers a wide range of massage services. These services cater to every preference, from gentle relaxation to invigorating treatments. During the summer, Palatinus transforms into a “fun park.” The wave pool, giant water slides, children’s pool, playground, sport facilities, and large green area offer something for everyone. The bath has undergone several renovations throughout its history. A vast green area was added in 1958, followed by the construction of a five-track slide in 1980. In 2002, the pools were modernized with new water filter and cleaning equipment. Further developments in 2013 introduced new slides like the Magic Tunnel, Kamikaze, Turbo, and Anaconda. Palatinus Bath continues to be a favorite destination. Its beautiful location on Margaret Island, numerous attractions, and excellent water quality make it an unforgettable experience.
