Each panel tells a story inviting you to delve into the palace’s artistic and cultural heritage.

The atrium serves as a captivating gateway. Busts of King D. Luís I and Queen D. Maria Pia are placed here. They were patrons of the Portuguese Red Cross. The atrium leads to the magnificent library.

The library was reconstructed in the 1930s under the guidance of Afonso de Dornelas. It emanates an air of refinement. A magnificent crystal chandelier hangs beneath a painting depicting the Peace of Alvalade. Gabriel Constante created this masterpiece. It portrays Queen Santa Isabel riding a donkey accompanied by King D. Dinis and their son. The library showcases the evolution of Palácio dos Condes de Óbidos through the centuries. It provides a visual timeline of its storied past.

Deep within Palácio dos Condes de Óbidos, a hidden gem awaits. This is the Chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. Adorned with ancient azulejos and vibrant polychrome hues, it shows faith and devotion. Inscriptions etched on rose marble stones provide glimpses into the noble history.
