In the heart of Calumet City, Illinois, stands Our Lady of Knock Church, a beacon of faith for the community. Our Lady of Knock Church wasn’t always its sole name. Originally part of a trio of parishes, including St. Victor and St. Andrew, it became a cornerstone of the newly formed Jesus, Shepherd of Souls parish in July 2019. Our Lady of Knock Church, along with St. Victor and St. Andrew Churches, united to create this new parish. Sadly, a year later, St. Victor Church closed its doors permanently, leaving Our Lady of Knock and St. Andrew to carry on the legacy. Our Lady of Knock Church still holds regular mass services. You can join the community for Saturday Mass at 4:00 pm or Sunday Mass at 9:00 am. There’s also a Spanish Mass on Sundays at 11:30 am. For those seeking moments of reflection and prayer, Our Lady of Knock offers Adoration on the first and second Thursday of each month from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Bilingual confessions are also available on Saturdays from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Finding Our Lady of Knock Church is straightforward. If you’re traveling on I-80-94 N, exit at Torrence Ave. Follow Torrence to 170th St. E, then head east on 163rd Street. You’ll find Our Lady of Knock Church at 501 163rd Street, Calumet City, IL 60409.
