Have you ever heard of a school that has seen a lot of changes over the years? Look at Ormiston Bridge Academy, right here on Finlay Street, London. It’s been a mix of everything. Starting as a simpler secondary school, it had a little transformation back in 2013 when it became a school converting to academy status. You might not know this, but it’s not the only change. The school is actually a merger of two older schools: The Bridge Academy and Ormiston Courtyard Academy. It’s not just the educational journey that’s changed, but the very space itself. It’s quite small. You’d think that this small size means it’s a bit quiet. Not at all! Even with only 43 students, it’s a bustling place. You’ll find all kinds of pupils from age 11 to 16, learning, growing, and having the time of their lives. With about 81% of students getting free meals, you can imagine how diverse this school is. Some call it a “Good” school, thanks to the Ofsted inspection. That’s not the only thing they say, but we’ll keep that for a different story.
