The project’s goal is clear. It aims to improve the health of the stream and its catchment area. Ultimately, it seeks to create a safe environment for future generations. These are the future residents of Waiheke Island.
Volunteers with Project Little Oneroa go door-to-door. They provide water minimization tools. They also offer septic tank maintenance advice. Free workshops are popular too. Topics include installing waterless composting toilets.
The project uses the Logical Framework Approach. This approach establishes core concepts. These concepts include situation analysis, stakeholder analysis, and an action plan. The approach fosters a collaborative multidisciplinary team. All involved have a unified understanding. They also agree on an action plan.
