On-call residence like Doughty House offer fully furnished single rooms. Imagine a space designed for independent living. Each resident shares a kitchen, living area, toilet, and bathing facilities. The kitchens come equipped with essential appliances.

Doughty House boasts on-site laundry facilities. A weekly cleaning service keeps the communal areas tidy. For those relying on public transport, Doughty House is quite accessible. Imperial Wharf and West Brompton railway stations are a 15-minute walk away. Earl’s Court, Fulham Broadway, South Kensington, and Gloucester Road tube stations are a bit further. They are a 15 to 20-minute walk. Note that there is no family accommodation on site.

Doughty House provides affordable housing in the SW10 area. It is only a two-minute walk to the hospital. This eliminates commuting costs. Each bedroom is furnished. Residents share a kitchen, bathroom, and lounge/dining area. Rooms have central heating. The building has on-site laundry and weekly cleaning.

The Estates and Facilities team manages Doughty House during office hours. An emergency out-of-hours service is also available. A deposit equal to one month’s rent and one month’s rent paid in advance are required to secure a room. Terms and let lengths are flexible.

Other accommodation options exist within the UCLH residences. UCLH staff seeking accommodation in London can find advice. UCLH is able to offer residential accommodation to staff. It is managed by Notting Hill Genesis. The accommodation comprises single-person rooms. Rooms are let fully furnished. They have a minimum of a wash hand basin and shared bathroom/shower and kitchen facilities. Many rooms have been recently upgraded.

Location-wise, you’re a stone’s throw from Euston. The Eurostar terminal at St Pancras is also nearby. Selfridges is on your doorstep, too. Some of the best restaurants in the capital are close. Regent’s Park, the Embankment, Mayfair and Shepherd’s Market are within walking distance.

Rent for accommodation in the residences for UCLH staff includes utility bills. Free Wifi applies only for new style en-suite rooms. UCLH employees have rent deducted directly from their monthly salary. A refundable deposit of one month’s rent is also payable. Standard rooms cost 755.05 pounds. En-suite rooms range from 1140.04 to 1368.59 pounds. All accommodation is let on an assured shorthold tenancy basis. The typical length is six months. One month’s notice in writing is required when you want to leave.
