Before the days of online travel, there was a company called Nouvelles Frontières, a name that whispered of adventure and discovery. It was the dream of Jacques Maillot, an ambitious businessman who envisioned making travel accessible to everyone. In 1967, he made this dream a reality.

The year is 1967. A small office in Paris opens its doors. This is where it all begins. The office was humble, but the ambitions were lofty. At first, they worked with a small group of passionate travelers who all shared the desire to explore the world. They used every chance to create an experience and make every journey different. The small collective gradually grew, and in 1968, Nouvelles Frontières became a full-fledged company. They opened more offices and soon more than 4,000 people joined their journey.

They took people on trips, not just to France, but to other parts of Europe, to exotic islands, and to the vast reaches of Africa. By the 1980s, they offered more than 150,000 people a taste of adventure. They even started their own hotel chain, the Paladien, offering unique experiences and affordable luxury.

But the world was changing, and technology was transforming travel. In 1995, Nouvelles Frontières took a leap forward, launching their own website. They were one of the first travel companies to embrace the digital age, and they quickly became a leader in online booking. They even created an innovative system that let people bid for deals and travel on a budget.

But the world keeps on changing. In 2002, a German travel giant, TUI, acquired Nouvelles Frontières. The familiar brand resigned its name and blended into the TUI family. While it still exists today, you won’t find it under its original name. Nouvelles Frontières was a pioneer in its time, bringing the world to France and the adventure to the world. The travel world changed, but the memories of this innovative company still survive.
