Northwest Church

In 1951 fourteen families sought a church. They wanted their children raised knowing the Scriptures. This was Northwest Bible Church’s humble beginning. Located at the corner of Northwest Highway and the Dallas Tollway this church grew from a simple desire. It was a time of deep reliance on God and on each other. It marked a new way to do church focused entirely on the Bible. Northwest Bible Church is more than just a building. It’s a testament to faith and community. It’s a place where biblical teaching is central. It’s also a place of strong community involvement. The church offers services and programs for spiritual growth. Its mission is to invite people into the unexpected joy of depending on Jesus. They believe that brokenness is God’s workshop for life change. Northwest Bible Church values God’s truth over opinions. An early partnership with Dallas Theological Seminary greatly impacted the church. Seminary professors filled the pulpit. They also taught Sunday school. This created a serious atmosphere for Bible study. Northwest Bible Church still maintains close ties to DTS. The church’s logo is affectionately called the messy cross. This logo came from a simple sketch. It was initially thrown away. It was later retrieved and transformed. The messy cross symbolizes God’s work in our lives. God transforms our brokenness into beauty. It’s a reminder of God’s redemptive power. Northwest Bible Church’s vision is that each person has a divine platform.
