“Our goal is to impact our world for the Kingdom of God,” boomed a voice from within the Northlake Baptist Church. You might be surprised to know that this church started in a humble residential home. On December 8, 1974, the very first service of Northlake Baptist Chapel was held just a stone’s throw from where we stand now. The road to becoming Northlake Baptist Church, however, was paved with community support. Orchard Hills Baptist Church, alongside the Dallas Baptist Association and the Baptist General Convention of Texas, played a key role. They contributed both members and vital funds in those formative early years. In February 1976, Northlake Baptist Church found its permanent home right here. It transitioned from a chapel to an independent church. Over the years, Northlake Baptist Church has witnessed a legacy of dedicated individuals. Bob Dean, elected as pastor in 1978, served an impactful 28 years. Lynn Christie, our Minister of Music & Youth for an impressive four decades, touched countless lives with his music ministry. Today, Northlake Baptist Church continues to be a beacon of faith and community engagement in Dallas. We strive to not only share our faith but to live it out by serving those around us.
