Development wasn’t immediate. It began in 1927. The park’s beautiful pavilion a gathering place for decades was built in 1929. Imagine the joyous celebrations held there throughout the 1930s. The air filled with laughter and music. The pavilion later became a part-time recreation center in the 70s and 80s. Today it’s primarily used as a picnic pavilion. If you are planning an event check out the rentable building. It can accommodate up to 100 people. It’s perfect for parties and meetings. The double shelter can seat about 60. Both offer access to electricity. But be mindful that high wattage appliances may overload the system. You can contact the Park Permit Office for reservations and rates.
