New Generation Church experienced a tragedy. The pastor’s son shot and killed the youth minister. This happened down the street from the church after a verbal dispute. The pastor’s son confessed to an affair with the minister’s ex-wife. The church released a statement expressing deep sadness. They asked for prayers for the families and the church.
Denzel Branch was the youth minister. He was licensed as a minister at New Generation Church on September 23 2018. In a Good Friday message in 2021 Branch spoke about salvation. He argued that people can be saved with their dying breath if they repent.
