In 1962, a group of devout individuals in Chicago, guided by their faith, came together with a shared dream. This dream led to the establishment of the New Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Initially situated at 260 W. 66th Street, the New Faith Missionary Baptist Church quickly became a beacon of hope and spiritual guidance within its community. The church thrived under the leadership of Reverend W.F. Baskin. By 1967, the congregation grew, prompting a move to its current location at 8400 South Halsted Street. Despite facing financial hurdles, the church persevered. Their unwavering faith led to a successful fundraising campaign, enabling them to purchase the building. They fulfilled their commitment to remain a cornerstone in the community. The New Faith Missionary Baptist Church has witnessed tremendous growth and transformation over the years. It stands today as a testament to the enduring power of faith, resilience, and community.
