“My goal in life is to serve God.” Those words, spoken by Pastor McKizzie, echo within the very walls of the New Creation Baptist Church. The New Creation Baptist Church isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to the power of faith and community. It all started in June 2001. Pastor McKizzie and his family left their church and began ministering to the elderly. They shared the Gospel and hymns with residents at Walker Methodist Nursing Home. This act of service, particularly during the last months of his grandmother Mary Boone’s life, ignited a spark. That spark became the New Creation Baptist Church, founded by Pastor McKizzie. For a time, they shared space at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Then, in a testament to their growing community, they became owners of this very building in August 2008. Today, New Creation Baptist Church stands as a beacon of faith and service, a place where every Sunday, the community gathers to worship together. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the greatest journeys begin with a simple act of love and compassion.
