Tucked between Ilford town centre and King George Hospital sits New City College, Redbridge Campus. New City College isn’t new at all. It has a rich history. It started as Redbridge Technical College, opening its doors on June 2nd, 1970. The college offered various vocational courses, catering to a diverse student body. New City College, Redbridge Campus was even known as a key centre for students who were deaf or had learning difficulties. This commitment to inclusivity has been a defining aspect of the college’s identity. In 2017, Redbridge College became part of the larger New City College network. This merger brought together several institutions under one umbrella, expanding resources and opportunities for students. New City College, Redbridge Campus continues to be a vital part of the community, offering a range of academic and vocational courses. It provides pathways to further education and employment for students of all backgrounds.
