The church’s generosity knows no bounds. In 1966-67 it opened its doors to the Whiton School after a devastating fire. The school held classes within the church’s walls. The church even had bathrooms built to accommodate the students. A well was dug to provide water for these additions.

Renovations continued through the years. Carpeting arrived in 1967. In 1971 the building received a brick exterior and central heating and air conditioning. A nursery Sunday school rooms a vestibule and more bathrooms were added in 1977.

The year 1996 marked a significant achievement. A new sanctuary was dedicated. This was the culmination of years of dedication and planning. It celebrated 140 years of service.

The growth continues. Plans are underway for a larger fellowship hall and more Sunday school rooms. These additions will help serve the church’s ever-growing congregation.
