New Beginnings Baptist Church isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of community. Founded in 1991 by Pastor Homer L. Thomas Jr., his wife Mary, their family, and two other families, this church emerged from a desire to serve their community.
Their first service was humbly held in the Thomas family home, a testament to their dedication. The congregation then found a temporary home at 4911 Wisteria, generously sponsored by Calvary Baptist Church of Oak Cliff. This act of kindness allowed New Beginnings Baptist Church to flourish, attracting families who remain members to this day. The church eventually found its forever home at 5916 Marine Way, a piece of land gifted to them.
But the journey wasn’t over. Around 2002, guided by faith, Pastor Thomas relocated the church to its current location at 5601 Mountain Creek Parkway.
