Launched in 2015, Navya is a pioneer in autonomous vehicle technology. Since its creation, 160 automated vehicles have been sold across more than 20 countries.
These vehicles meet the needs of communities and companies. Here in Lyon since September 2016, two Navya electric shuttles have been deployed. They transport passengers on a 1.3-kilometer route with 5 stops in the Confluence district. The experiment is called Navly. It is run by Navya and Keolis, with support from the city and local transport authority.

How does Navya navigate? It uses advanced technology. Lidars, cameras, RTK navigation, IMU, and odometry work together. These sensors create a model of the environment. The on-board computer processes this data. It pinpoints the shuttle’s position. It makes the best navigation decisions.
The Navya shuttles in Lyon run every 15 minutes during peak hours. They run every half an hour for the rest of the day.
Navya’s impact extends beyond Lyon. You can find Navya shuttles in Val Thorens, a mountain resort. They operate in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi’s eco-city. They even appear at universities like Salford and in industrial settings like the TEPCO Fukushima nuclear plant.
