The museum has been around since 1921, though a smaller natural history museum was established in 1838. The current building is located on the campus of Aarhus University. It is the second-largest Natural History Museum in Denmark. You’ll find over 5,000 animals on display, including impressive dinosaur skeletons. There are four permanent exhibitions that cover a variety of topics, from the Big Bang to the development of sexual reproduction! The museum also houses a research facility at the Molslaboratoriet in the Mols Bjerge National Park. In this park, you can marvel at wild horses and cattle, a rewilding project of the museum.
