The scent of incense hangs heavy in the air. A gentle breeze rustles the leaves of nearby trees. Welcome to Musholla Nurul Jamal.
This unassuming mosque stands as a testament to community spirit. It wasn’t built by some grand sultan or wealthy benefactor. No. Musholla Nurul Jamal rose from the collective efforts of local residents. Construction began in late 2014. It relied entirely on donations from the neighborhood.
By mid-2015 the Musholla was ready for its first prayers. Imagine the joy. The relief. The shared accomplishment of creating a sacred space for worship. This small mosque holds approximately 200 worshippers in its main hall alone. An additional canopy area increases its capacity to around 1200.
The land itself has a fascinating history. Roughly 160 square meters were designated public land. An additional 100 square meters came from a generous waqf donation. That’s a form of religious endowment. It represents the deep commitment of the community. That devotion is officially documented in Wakaf Deed Number W 2/53/BA/08/01/2016.
In 2016 the community formalized their efforts. They established the Nurul Jami Bakti Jaya Foundation. This foundation now legally oversees the mosque. This demonstrates a lasting commitment to maintaining Musholla Nurul Jamal for generations. Its official registration is confirmed by the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights. The registration number AHU-0028843.AH.01.04.Tahun 2016 leaves no doubt about its legal status.
So next time you’re in the neighborhood. Take a moment to appreciate Musholla Nurul Jamal. It’s more than just a place of prayer. It’s a living example of community unity and faith. It’s a story written in brick and mortar. A story whispered on the wind. A story that continues to unfold each time the call to prayer echoes through the air.
