Initially, Musholla Baiturohman began as a small prayer room. The Financial Audit Board or BPK helped build it. Local residents also contributed. Over time, the community grew. The small prayer room needed to expand.
With generous donations, Musholla Baiturohman was renovated. Donors included state institutions and private citizens. On October 3, 2010, the renovated Musholla Baiturohman was officially opened. It became a grand mosque. The new mosque had two floors. The first floor was used for congregational prayers. The second floor served other purposes. These included a Koran learning center and meeting rooms.
The management offices were also located here. The mosque even had a small library. It contained the Koran and books of Hadith.
Musholla Baiturohman’s location is strategic. It is in the Kebon Jeruk area of West Jakarta. This makes it accessible for office workers. They can easily come to pray, especially on Fridays. The mosque is clean and well-equipped. This ensures a comfortable and peaceful worship experience.
In times of crisis, Musholla Baiturohman becomes a refuge. In May 2025, a fire struck Kemayoran Gempol. It left many homeless. 1,797 people sought shelter here. The mosque provided a safe haven. It offered food, water, and essential supplies.
