Built upon a generous waqf of approximately 70 meters squared Musholla Al-Ikhlas stands tall. This humble house of worship nestled in Tangerang Banten has a rich history. It began its journey in 2003 a simple structure. The foundation laid by H Midih’s selfless act. It served as a place of prayer and community gathering.
Over the years Musholla Al-Ikhlas has expanded. Two renovations have marked its growth. Today it’s a vital part of the Sudimara Barat community. It’s not just a mosque it’s a hub. The faithful gather for daily prayers. Women meet twice a week for religious studies. Others participate in Quran recitation and Yasin readings.
But even with its expansions Musholla Al-Ikhlas faces challenges. The growing population has strained its capacity. The building struggles to accommodate everyone especially during major Islamic holidays. Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan push its limits.
Recognizing this need the community rallied. H Midih’s family generously donated additional land for expansion. Other community members contributed funds. This collective effort spurred the formation of a building committee in October 2018. Their goal is to create a larger more functional Musholla Al-Ikhlas. The vision is not merely to expand the building’s size. It’s to make it a center for community activities including religious education. The plan is to have a place that brings people together. A true hub for faith education and community life.
Musholla Al-Ikhlas stands as a testament. It shows the power of faith community and generosity. It’s more than bricks and mortar. It’s a living breathing embodiment of shared faith and collective effort. It’s a story of expansion both physical and spiritual. A place where hearts meet and faith flourishes. It is a place of peace and prayer. It is a place of community and growth. A true reflection of its name Al-Ikhlas meaning sincerity.
