Mushalla Al Ikhlas

Tucked away in the vibrant heart of Jakarta, Mushalla Al Ikhlas whispers tales of community and devotion. It’s more than just a place of worship. It’s a testament to the power of collective dreams. In 1967, a group of visionaries from various housing complexes in Cipete, including PDK, Kehakiman, Sekneg, Panca Niaga, Perdatam, Indomarin, Hasta Griya, and BDN, came together with a shared aspiration. They envisioned a mosque, a beacon of faith, a center for Islamic propagation. Their tireless efforts, including door-to-door fundraising, resonated with the Cipete community. One resident, H.D. Dachlan, recalled their unwavering determination. The idea for Mushalla Al Ikhlas, as recounted by H.MA. Husein, sparked during Tarawih prayers held in rotation at different homes. Nine years later, this vision materialized into the Mushalla Al Ikhlas. This mushalla eventually transformed into the Masjid Al Ikhlas, constructed between 1976 and 1979. This transformation was made possible by the generosity of donors, zakat payers, and the dedicated congregation under the leadership of Buya H. Amirudin Siregar. The Yayasan Masjid Al Ikhlas (YMAI), the foundation behind Mushalla Al Ikhlas, was established on April 11, 1967, with 35 founding members. Their names are etched in the foundation’s deed and articles of association. Mushalla Al Ikhlas stands proudly on Jl. Cipete 3, a symbol of unity and perseverance. The complex includes a mosque, educational buildings, and even a cooperative store run by Kopsyahira. The mosque itself is a two-story structure, with the ground floor serving as a hall for various activities and the main prayer area located on the second floor. Mushalla Al Ikhlas continues to serve as a vibrant hub for the community, a place where faith flourishes and dreams take flight.
