Built in 1943 MS Treue is a concrete ship. She’s one of the few concrete vessels still in use. Imagine a time of steel scarcity during World War II. Concrete became a surprisingly viable alternative for shipbuilding. MS Treue was one such vessel. For almost two decades she carried wood across the North and Baltic Seas. She’s a sturdy testament to wartime ingenuity.

After her retirement in 1962 MS Treue had a few unusual jobs. First she became a floating motorcycle repair shop. Then she served as a storage barge in Hamburg’s bustling port. Finally she found her true calling in Bremen.

Today MS Treue is a vibrant cultural hub. She sits on the Schlachte River embankment a popular Bremen attraction. Since 2013 she has been under new management hosting cultural events. Mostly she’s known for her electronic music parties. MS Treue is a place for open-minded people. Prejudice of any kind is not tolerated here.

The ship is not accessible to wheelchair users. This is due to its original design as a transport vessel. The Weser River’s tidal changes also pose accessibility challenges. Despite this limitation MS Treue offers a unique party experience. She provides a venue for dancing and socializing.

So there you have it the MS Treue. A concrete ship with a rich history. She’s transformed from a working vessel into a beloved Bremen nightspot. She shows how adaptable and resilient these unique vessels can be. Her story is a testament to human ingenuity. The past and present collide on her decks. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of MS Treue Bremen.
