Did you ever wonder what “Where Youth Meets Truth” truly means? Here at Minnehaha Academy North Campus, these words resonate deeply. Minnehaha Academy is more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a living testament to a vision, a dream of Rev. Erik August Skogsbergh. He envisioned a place where young minds could flourish. Minnehaha Academy North Campus opened its doors in 1913 as a high school. It stands as the upper school campus for grades 9-12, a vital part of the larger Minnehaha Academy family. This campus, nestled along the scenic West River Parkway, serves students not only from Minneapolis and St. Paul, but also from across the metro area and even internationally. Minnehaha Academy North Campus has a rich history. Originally a vocational high school offering business and secretarial courses, it has evolved significantly over the years. The journey includes the addition of lower grades on the South Campus and a devastating explosion in 2017. The explosion resulted in the tragic loss of two staff members. However, from this tragedy arose resilience. The North Campus was rebuilt and welcomed students back in the fall of 2019. The campus pulsates with the energy of students engaged in a dynamic learning environment. They discover new interests, pursue passions, and explore their place in the world, all while grounded in their faith. Today, Minnehaha Academy North Campus continues to shape the future. It equips students with the tools they need to succeed in college and beyond. The graduates become leaders and innovators in various fields. They are a living embodiment of the school’s motto, “Where Youth Meets Truth”. They continue the legacy of Rev. Skogsbergh’s vision, contributing to a world that needs their unique talents and perspectives.
