“August of 1991 marks a pivotal moment” a congregant once told me about Ministerio Cristo es El Rey. It was then that the Devoto branch opened its doors. This marked a significant chapter. It became the only branch within the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
Today we stand before Ministerio Cristo es El Rey. It is more than just a place of worship. It represents a living testament to faith and community. Its story is woven into the very fabric of Buenos Aires.
For almost 24 years Ministerio Cristo es El Rey served its community faithfully. Then on Thursday July 16 2015 the final service was held at the Devoto branch. This was not an end. It was a transition.
Just a few days later on Sunday July 19 2015 a new chapter began. The Monte Castro branch opened. It carried forward the ministerial work of the Devoto branch. Ministerio Cristo es El Rey continued its mission.
Years before in November 2004 the Loma Hermosa annex was inaugurated. It was located in the district of San Martín. In December 2005 the José C. Paz annex followed. Ministerio Cristo es El Rey was expanding its reach.
In May 2006 Ministerio Cristo es El Rey held its first Missionary Congress. The work in the San José Oeste annex had begun in January 2002. This annex was located in Santiago del Estero province. It was deep in the Santiagueño forest. It was about 20km from Herrera the nearest town.
On December 16 2016 a new work began. It was about 12km from the San José Oeste annex. This new site was in a place called Taquello. Today the Taquello annex is still under construction. They are building the Pastoral house.
Ministerio Cristo es El Rey continues to serve its community. It stands as a beacon of hope. It is a testament to faith. It is the only branch of the Ministerio Cristo El Rey in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. It is located in the Monte Castro neighborhood. Ministerio Cristo es El Rey is celebrating 28 years.
