Driven by a vision to communicate the words of Jesus, Metro Church of God stands as a testament to faith. It is a community that celebrates His presence. Metro Church of God desires to demonstrate the love of Jesus and educate His disciples.

Established on July 7th 1985, Metro Church of God began with just ten founding families. Rev T. V. George served as the Senior Pastor. Rev. James Smith, the District Superintendent of Church of God, Weatherford TX, led the inaugural services.

Just a year later in 1986, Metro Church of God acquired its first building in South Dallas. The church considers it a humble beginning. They worshipped in spirit and truth. Even though the building was small, the joy of the Lord was exuberant in that place. The church supported mission works and missionaries in India. This support grew through charitable works such as feeding people and buying clothes. It helped start orphanages.

In 1993, Metro Church of God acquired a larger facility in Irving, TX. The church focused on its mission. The vision to gain souls for the Lord remained. The church put its faith in the power of prayer. They gave importance to fasting and prayer. In one of their fasting meetings, God revealed that they would build a new church facility. God even provided a description of the property. By faith, they acquired 2 1/2 acres of land in Farmers Branch.

The work of the church building was completed in 2004. It marked God’s time and plan. The building was expanded to accommodate growth.

In 2006, Rev T.V. George retired from his pastoral duties at Metro Church of God.

In 2007, Rev. Satish Kumar was appointed as the Senior Lead Pastor. He has been in the same role since then. With the help of other men and women of God, they continue to pursue the destiny that the Lord has given to Metro Church of God.

In April 2019, the church installed Pr. Reuben Philip as the Student/Creative Pastor. In March 2020, the church installed Pr. Linson Daniel as the Associate Pastor.

In May 2022, Metro Church of God promoted Pr. Reuben Philip to Worship/Creative Pastor. They installed Pr. Jeromy Jose as the new Student Pastor. In June, Josh Thomas was hired as Tech Director. In July, the church opened a new campus in Frisco, TX.

In July 2023, the church installed Pr. Sam Varughese as the Campus Pastor for their Frisco location.

Metro Church of God is committed to exalting God. It equips believers to share the gospel of Christ. They do this in DFW and to the nations with the power of the Holy Spirit.

The church believes in the inspiration and inerrancy of the Bible. They believe in one true God as three coequal persons. This is the Trinity. Metro Church of God believes in the deity and atonement of Christ. They believe in salvation by grace and faith in Jesus Christ. They believe in the bodily resurrection and physical return of Christ. Metro Church of God stands as a beacon. It is a beacon in Farmers Branch, Texas, and beyond.
