Amidst the vibrant tapestry of Manila, the Members Church of God International beckons. This isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to a faith journey that began humbly in Northern Philippines in 1980. Originally registered as “Mga Kaanib Iglesia ng Dios kay Kristo Hesus Haligi at Saligan ng Katotohanan sa Bansang Pilipinas,” the Members Church of God International, also known as MCGI, started with a small group of believers. Their leader, Bro. Eliseo Soriano, tirelessly spread the word, traveling to multiple towns each night for Bible studies. Realizing the limitations of this approach, he took to the airwaves. The radio program, “Ang Dating Daan” (The Old Path), launched in the last quarter of 1980, quickly gained national recognition. Its live, uncensored question-and-answer format became a hallmark. The program’s popularity only grew with its television debut in 1983. As the Members Church of God International expanded, it introduced Bible Expositions in 1994, offering deeper insights into faith and spirituality. These events, initially held in smaller settings, soon filled larger venues, further cementing the church’s influence. The church continued to break new ground, embracing technology. In 1999, it became a pioneer in webcasting, sharing its message with the world. The Members Church of God International expanded internationally, reaching North America, Oceania, Africa, and Latin America. This global growth led to the official name change to “Members Church of God International” in 2005. Today, the Members Church of God International stands as a global entity, actively engaged in charitable work and public service. From its humble beginnings, it has blossomed into a beacon of faith, touching lives across continents.
