In 1985, a vision took root in Melton. A group of families from the Melton Christian Fellowship sought to create a nurturing educational environment, grounded in Christian values. This vision became Melton Christian College. Initially housed in a humble Scout Hall on Henry Street, the school welcomed students from prep to year four. Melton Christian College quickly outgrew its initial space. In 1986, the college relocated to its current location on Brooklyn Road. This move marked a significant expansion, allowing the school to accommodate students up to year six by 1987. The college continued to flourish. In 1995, the name officially changed to Melton Christian College, reflecting its growth and ambition. Just a year later, Melton Christian College expanded to include a secondary school. This expansion culminated in the introduction of VCE classes in 2000 and the commencement of year twelve in 2001. Melton Christian College has been serving the Melton community for 40 years. It now offers a comprehensive Prep to VCE education to over 850 students across its campuses, including the established Brookfield site, the newly constructed Toolern Vale Campus for lower primary, and the brand new Online Campus launched in 2025. The college remains committed to its founding principles. Melton Christian College strives to provide a Christ-centered education. They foster a caring and nurturing environment where students can develop their full potential. This commitment extends to their online campus. This offers a flexible learning experience that caters to the evolving needs of families. Melton Christian College emphasizes core values such as Christ-centeredness, excellence, community, respect, and a passion for teaching and learning. They have cultivated a positive school culture. This nurtures Christian values and encourages students to become respectful and pro-social contributors to their communities.
