In 1984 a small building on Francis Road became the humble beginning of Masjid Tawhid. A generous donation from Shaykh Abdul-Aziz bin Baz made this possible. This generous act laid the foundation for a vibrant community.

Masjid Tawhid quickly outgrew its first home. Within ten years the congregation needed more space. The search for a larger building began. In 1991 a new location was found. The current Masjid Tawhid stands proudly at 80 High Road Leyton. Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdullah al Subayyil laid the foundation stone for this new Masjid.

The Masjid was completed in July 1997. It provided ample space for worship and community gatherings. An independent Waqf a trust was established to oversee its purchase and renovation. This shows the community’s dedication. Their commitment to their faith was unwavering.

The Masjid’s expansion didn’t stop there. In 2006 Masjid Tawhid purchased the land behind the building. This land offers the potential to triple the existing space. This expansion reflects the growing community. It shows their ongoing commitment to serving their members. Further development plans are underway. They are for the Masjid and the Madrasa.

Today Masjid Tawhid offers a wide range of services. These include daily prayers Jumma prayers Nikah ceremonies and even a radio service. The radio broadcasts Adhan prayers sermons and other talks. This broadcast uses a UHF transmitter. Listeners with appropriate receivers can tune in. Masjid Tawhid is more than a place of worship. It’s a community hub. It is a place of learning and support. It is a testament to the power of faith. It’s a beacon of spirituality in Leyton London. It is a living testament to the generosity and vision of its founders. Its growth and development reflect its ever expanding community.
