Picture the scene. You stand before Masjid Soleh Hawa a beacon of calm amidst Jakarta’s vibrant energy. This is more than just a mosque. It’s a community hub a place where faith and learning intertwine.
Masjid Soleh Hawa opened its doors on March 1 2021. Its inaugural Subuh prayer was led by Ustaz Dr Firanda Andirja M.A. The mosque’s strategic location on Jalan Raya Ceger makes it easily accessible.
The building itself is a study in understated elegance. Its clean white exterior offers a sense of peace. A spacious parking area welcomes visitors. To the left you’ll find security facilities restrooms and a masjid office. A restaurant offering Arabic and Indonesian cuisine sits to the right.
Inside Masjid Soleh Hawa’s simple yet elegant design shines through. The main prayer hall is surprisingly cool and spacious. It can accommodate about 400 worshippers. Two large chandeliers illuminate the hall. A huge digital clock and screen dominate the front. These are used during religious lectures.
The upper floor is much the same but boasts a large dome adorned with gold brown and white ornaments. There are also two projectors and a screen. Both floors offer ample Islamic books Qur’ans prayer mats and even extra mukenas (prayer shawls) for those who forget theirs. The ablution area is pristine and exceptionally well-maintained. There are three separate sections with places to keep your belongings washbasins with mirrors handwash soap and tissues and of course toilets. The women’s restroom even has a shower a boon for those observing Itikaf or participating in special training sessions.
Beyond the mosque itself lies a serene courtyard belonging to the mosque owner. This area often serves as additional motorcycle parking during large gatherings or Tabligh Akbars. There’s a swimming pool a tranquil gazebo surrounded by lush greenery and more open space. The ambiance is incredibly child-friendly but remember this is private property so respect the owner’s privacy.
Masjid Soleh Hawa isn’t just a place for prayer. It is a center for religious study. Regular and themed lectures cover a wide spectrum including Tauhid Fiqh and Tafsir always grounded in the Quran Sunnah and the understanding of Salafus-Shalih. The mosque also offers training programs such as death preparation classes Arabic lessons and Tahsin and a Quranic education program for children.
