The Masjid Ramah Lingkungan initiative educates the community. It teaches them about the importance of managing waste responsibly. Masjid Nurul Baqo became the 16th location in Jakarta. It served as a center for socializing. It promoted cooperation in transforming waste oil into export commodities.
The mosque received equipment. This equipment processes used cooking oil. The processed oil becomes a commodity for export. Community members are encouraged to bring their used cooking oil to the mosque. In return, they receive money. For every kilogram of used cooking oil, they receive six thousand rupiah.
The mosque also provides an app. The app allows community members to track their contributions. Those without smartphones can rely on manual tracking. Payments are transferred directly to their accounts. This initiative not only reduces environmental pollution. It also generates income for the community.
