In 1984, a humble musholla, a small prayer room, took root in the Komplek Migas 41. This musholla, nestled in the heart of Srengseng, would eventually blossom into the Masjid Nurul Amal that graces us today. Masjid Nurul Amal wasn’t built overnight. It evolved. In 1994, this modest prayer space underwent a transformation, officially becoming a mosque. Masjid Nurul Amal quickly became a spiritual anchor, serving not only the residents of Komplek Migas but also those from surrounding areas like Joglo and even office workers seeking solace. The original structure, now over 36 years old and less than 200 square meters, struggles to accommodate the growing congregation, especially during Friday prayers and holidays. Imagine the vibrant energy during these times, the courtyard overflowing with worshippers. Masjid Nurul Amal has become a testament to the enduring power of faith, a place where the community gathers, prays, and connects. It stands as a symbol of growth and adaptation, evolving from a small prayer room to a vital hub of worship in the heart of Jakarta.
