Masjid Miftahul Jannah was the first mosque in Desa Patoloan. It became a center for religious activities. It hosted daily prayers and special events like Ramadan tarawih prayers. It also served as a religious education center for Muslim children.
The village’s demographics changed in the late 2000s. It became diverse with people from various regions of South Sulawesi. Javanese Bugis Toraja and Makassarese people live together peacefully. Even with new mosques and mushollas built nearby Masjid Miftahul Jannah remains the heart of the community’s religious life. Several individuals have led the mosque’s administration. Each contributed to its growth and development. Mr H Djumari played a crucial role. Mr Anshori served as the secretary for years. Mr Tabri a descendant of Mbah Suprenggo served as the imam.
In the late 2010s a new generation of leaders emerged. Mr Abdul Ra’uf S Ag M MPd along with Santoso and Mat Juari S P revitalized the mosque’s administration. They continue to guide its activities. The mosque stands not just as a building but as a living testament to faith community and resilience. It is an integral part of the Jakarta landscape a place of prayer peace and community.
