This is Masjid Jami Miftahul Khoir. It stands as a testament to faith and community. Located in East Jakarta its humble beginnings are a far cry from its current magnificence. Initially a simple building the mosque’s leaders dared to dream bigger. They envisioned a modern mosque a beautiful space worthy of its purpose.
They had a mere fifty million Rupiah. Many doubted their ability to achieve their ambitious goals. But the leaders of Masjid Jami Miftahul Khoir had unwavering faith. They believed in the power of prayer and community support. They started anyway. They began the renovations step by step.
Miraculously donations poured in. The initial fifty million Rupiah blossomed into 2.3 billion Rupiah. The mosque expanded. It gained new floors. Modern amenities including air conditioning and CCTV security were installed.
The main prayer hall doors a striking feature were designed to resemble those of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina. These doors alone cost an estimated thirty-five million Rupiah. Some questioned the expense. But the mosque leaders believed in creating a beautiful and inspiring space. They believed that God would provide.
Today Masjid Jami Miftahul Khoir stands proudly. This three-story mosque spans 400 square meters. It can accommodate nearly 800 worshippers. The first two floors house the prayer halls.
