“Lost in the city’s clamor, a sanctuary awaits.” Masjid Jami Baiturahman stands as a beacon of faith in the heart of Jakarta. It offers a tranquil escape, a place where the whispers of prayers intertwine with the city’s vibrant pulse. Masjid Jami Baiturahman’s story is one of community and devotion. Initially, a small prayer room served the Muslim residents of the Komplek BPK III-IV Kebon Jeruk. Over time, the community’s dream of a larger mosque began to take shape. With generous support from the Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan (BPK-RI), various organizations, and the local community, the small prayer room underwent a transformation. On October 3, 2010, Masjid Jami Baiturahman was reborn. The mosque’s two-story structure stands as a testament to the community’s dedication. The first floor serves as the main prayer hall, a space where the faithful gather in unity. The second floor houses a TPA (Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an), KPA (Kelompok Pengajian Anak), a women’s prayer area, and Majelis Taklim. It also includes administrative offices and a reception area. Masjid Jami Baiturahman is more than just a place of worship. It is a hub of learning and community engagement, equipped with modern amenities like laptops, projectors, a sound system, and even a small library filled with religious texts. Its strategic location in Kebon Jeruk makes it a convenient prayer space for office workers in the area, especially during Friday prayers. Masjid Jami Baiturahman welcomes all who seek solace and connection. It is a place where the spirit of devotion thrives, amidst the bustling energy of Jakarta.
