This Jakarta mosque initially resided in South Jakarta. It was a wakaf a charitable endowment from Raibah. Hj Sitinah continued this legacy. The land’s ownership is clearly documented. Wakaf number 9. The Deed of Declaration dated September 16 1996. The land survey dated December 30 1999. It covers 379 square meters. H Ahmad Bin Sarmili was the wakif. H Royani Sarmili the nadzir.
The mosque’s relocation to its current site in East Jakarta marks a significant chapter. The cornerstone was laid on March 9 1996. The official inauguration followed on June 22 1996. Mr Endjang Abdullah the Ciracas sub-district head presided. The mosque’s history isn’t just about bricks and mortar. It’s about the people. Ustaz H Ahmad Sanusi led the DKM from 1996. Ustaz Mukhtar S Pd I continued his work until 2020. Ustaz Suheli S Pd I took over in 2021. Their leadership shaped the community. Their vision expanded Masjid Jami Al-Ikhlas’s role. It became a center for worship community engagement and social harmony.
The mosque’s transformation continues. It strives for advancement. Improvements in infrastructure facilities and activities are ongoing. This reflects the community’s dedication. The ultimate aim is to foster prosperity both for the mosque and its members. The spirit of “Memakmurkan Masjid dan Dimakmurkan Masjid” thrives here. It embodies the symbiotic relationship.
