A house of God embraces artificial intelligence. That is MASJID ATTAQWA, a grand old mosque in South Jakarta. It stands strong on Jalan Sriwijaya Raya. The lush surroundings add to its comfortable feel. MASJID ATTAQWA is not just an old building. It keeps up with the times.

Ali Marzuki is the head of the MASJID ATTAQWA Sriwijaya Foundation. He spoke at the inauguration of the MASJID ATTAQWA Sriwijaya Hall. He mentioned plans for an AI development center based on Sharia law. This center aims to attract young people. It will ensure they do not fall behind in digital trends. Marzuki hopes the hall will benefit the community. He wants it to serve as a model for other mosques.

MASJID ATTAQWA’s history begins with a land donation. Yusuf bin Gede Ali gave 750 square meters. Over time, the mosque expanded. It grew to 1,260 square meters. Now, MASJID ATTAQWA stands on 3,000 square meters of land.

Vice President Sudarmono helped expand the mosque in the 1960s. The land originally belonged to Haji Yusuf bin Gede Ali’s grandfather. It passed down and was managed. Abdul Aziz Marzuki, Ali’s father, helped expand it. Sudarmono also made it easier to enlarge the area.

MASJID ATTAQWA is in a strategic location. It is in the middle of a business district. This makes it a popular stop for people. They come to pray or rest. Executives often visit this central location.

The mosque features a tall minaret in front. Its hexagonal shape reflects the pillars of Islam. The old building was renovated. It now embodies the concept of the pillars of faith. PT. Tiga Dimensi designed the new concept. It aligned the architecture of MASJID ATTAQWA with the principles of Islam.

Even on hot days, the area outside feels cool. A gentle breeze makes it pleasant to stay longer. Inside, the doors and windows have solid wood carvings. These carvings feature calligraphy. The mosque blends traditional and modern architecture. After prayers, worshippers linger. Some chat while others rest. MASJID ATTAQWA is a comfortable place to spend time.

The inauguration of the MASJID ATTAQWA Sriwijaya Hall was attended by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin. The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, was also present. Ma’ruf Amin recalled giving sermons at MASJID ATTAQWA.

Ma’ruf Amin praised Abdul Aziz Marzuki. He said Marzuki prioritized the community. He chose to donate his land to God instead of selling it. Marzuki traded with Allah instead of people. The land’s value is immense. Trading with Allah brings great rewards in the afterlife.

MASJID ATTAQWA stands as a symbol. It represents faith, history, and progress. It is a place where tradition meets modernity. The mosque serves as a cool sanctuary. It is a peaceful place in the heart of Jakarta.
