Nestled in the heart of Bedok, Masjid At Taqwa stands as a testament to time and faith. It has witnessed the transformation of this area from a quaint village to a bustling town. Masjid At Taqwa isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a historical landmark, deeply woven into the fabric of the community. Masjid At Taqwa was built in 1883. In the 1960s, this mosque served as a vital symbol for the villagers living in the kampungs around Bedok. This single-story mosque has undergone several renovations over the years. Today, Masjid At Taqwa continues to serve the residents nearby, as well as those in the wider eastern region of Singapore. With a capacity of 400 worshippers, Masjid At Taqwa holds regular religious classes, nurturing the spiritual growth of the community. Interestingly, Masjid At Taqwa is a “Wakaf” mosque. This means it was built on endowed land, dedicated for religious purposes. This reflects the deep commitment of the community to preserving their faith and heritage. Although the mosque requested removal from the Tabung.SG donation platform, it still accepts direct donations. Masjid At Taqwa stands as a symbol of resilience, faith, and community. It bridges the past and the present, reminding us of the rich history and enduring spirit of Bedok.
