Beyond its function as a place of worship, what makes Masjid Asabri Indah special? This mosque stands in Bekasi in Indonesia. It offers a unique story connected to national pride and resourcefulness.

Masjid Asabri Indah is more than just a place for prayer. It embodies the spirit of Indonesia. The mosque serves the Asabri complex. It provides a space for employees, cooperative members, and the surrounding community. It is a place for communal prayer and religious activities.

The story of Masjid Asabri Indah takes an interesting turn with its bedug. This traditional Indonesian drum isn’t just any drum. It earned a MURI Record. MURI stands for Museum Rekor Indonesia. This is the Indonesian World Records Museum. The bedug achieved this honor due to its unique construction.

The Bedug Nusantara at Masjid Asabri Indah incorporates twenty different types of wood. These woods come from provinces across Indonesia. This represents the diverse natural resources of the nation. Adding to its distinctiveness, the drum skin comes from Australian bison. This detail highlights a blend of local and international elements.

The use of various Indonesian woods symbolizes unity. It shows how different parts of the country contribute to a common purpose. The bison skin adds an unexpected twist. It connects Indonesia to the wider world. Jaya Suprana who is the head of MURI personally presented the award.

The mosque’s construction moved quickly. The first stone was laid on February 9, 2011. In a short time, a grand mosque stood on the previously empty grounds of the Asabri complex. This rapid completion reflects the dedication and enthusiasm of those involved.

Even before its complete finishing, Masjid Asabri Indah opened for use. During the fasting month of Ramadan, employees were encouraged to pray there. The director of PT ASABRI expressed hope that the mosque would benefit not only employees. He wanted it to serve the wider community as well.

The inauguration ceremony was a festive occasion. It included the unveiling of the name Baitul Halim. Baitul Halim translates to “House of Benefactors.” This name reflects the mosque’s purpose. The director also commemorated the event by striking the Bedug Nusantara.

Masjid Asabri Indah stands as a symbol. It represents the blending of faith, national pride, and community spirit. Its unique bedug tells a story of Indonesian diversity. The story is interwoven with international cooperation. So take a moment to appreciate this unique structure.
