This competition, a flagship program of the Dewan Masjid Indonesia (DMI), assesses mosques based on three key pillars: Idarah (management), Imarah (prosperity), and Riayah (maintenance). The mosque’s participation wasn’t merely symbolic. It was a reflection of its dedication to excellence in all aspects of its operations, from its meticulous management to its vibrant community engagement and its impeccable upkeep. The Deputy Mayor of West Jakarta, Hendra Hidayat, expressed his confidence in Masjid Al Muhajirin. He believed it embodied the very essence of the competition’s criteria. The assessment, he explained, encompasses the management of the mosque’s assets, including its financial resources, its daily practices, and most importantly, its congregation. Masjid Al Muhajirin, he noted, had already met the standard. It was now a matter of competing with other exceptional mosques across the region. The true test, he added, lay in the practical implementation of these principles, in how the mosque lived up to its ideals in its daily operations.
