Across the bustling streets of Jakarta, a beacon of peace awaits: Masjid Al-Ikhlash. Masjid Al-Ikhlash stands proudly in the RW.07 Karet Tengsin area. Originally, this mosque resided in a different location. It was relocated from Pedurenan, in the Karet Kuningan district of South Jakarta. The land, spanning 379 square meters, was a waqf, a charitable endowment, initially from Raibah, then passed on to Hj. Sitinah, and ultimately documented under H. Ahmad Bin Sarmili. The waqf itself carries the number 9, formalized by an Ikrar deed dated September 16, 1996, and further validated by a land survey dated December 30, 1999. Masjid Al-Ikhlash, as we know it today, commenced its journey on March 9, 1996, marked by the laying of the first stone. This day coincided with the 19th of Syawal, 1416 H, in the Islamic calendar. The mosque was officially inaugurated just a few months later, on June 22, 1996, equivalent to 6 Shafar 1417 H. The inauguration was led by the then-Camat (district head) of Ciracas, Endjang Abdullah. Masjid Al-Ikhlash has undergone a remarkable transformation since its inception. From infrastructural developments to expanded facilities and community activities, the mosque has continually evolved. The leadership has also seen a transition over the years. Ustadz H. Ahmad Sanusi led the DKM (Mosque Prosperity Council) in 1996, followed by Ustadz Mukhtar, S.Pd.I, until 2020. Currently, Ustadz Suheli, S.Pd.I, heads the DKM. Masjid Al-Ikhlash continues its journey to serve the community and embody the spirit of “Memakmurkan Masjid dan Dimakmurkan Masjid” – to prosper the mosque and be prospered by it.
