Imagine standing on Mansfield Road in Walthamstow. You see a simple building that holds a rich history of faith and community. This is Masjid Abu Bakr, built in 1994. What was once a warehouse transformed into a place where Muslims from diverse backgrounds found a home in London. It was the Asian sub-continent that provided the initial community, but as the years went by, the community grew to represent over 20 nationalities. It is in Masjid Abu Bakr where prayers echo from the minaret, bringing people together to seek solace.
