MARUM 2 might look unassuming, but inside this modern building, incredible research is happening. MARUM 2 is an extension of the main MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, a renowned research facility of the University of Bremen. What makes MARUM 2 so special? It’s home to groundbreaking projects like “Climate – I’m changing!”. This initiative partners with local schools, bringing the ocean to the classroom. Imagine, students investigating climate change’s impact on our world through exciting experiments in the MARUM UNISchool Laboratory. It’s about empowering the next generation to become stewards of our blue planet. The research at MARUM 2 isn’t confined to laboratories. It stretches to the deepest parts of our oceans. Here, engineers and scientists collaborate to develop cutting-edge technology like the MARUM-QUEST, a remotely operated vehicle that dives up to 4,000 meters!
