And most recently for the 2023 season a new straight replaced the final turns on the Marina Bay Floating Platform. This section made way for the NS Square a new community space. The changes reduced the track length to 4940 km.

The 2017 race saw a massive first-corner crash involving multiple cars. The track also holds the unique record of having at least one safety car appearance in every race until 2024.
