The community rallied behind their beloved market, investing over 1,507,000 euros in its transformation. And it paid off. The new Marché Émile Bertrand, unveiled in March 2012, boasts a clean, bright space with modern amenities. Each vendor has their own meter and access to new sanitary facilities and running water. Sadly, no renovation is perfect. Some might say the new metal facades lack a certain charm. Others point to the increased noise level under the metal and glass structure.
