Right here before us stands the Mall of Indonesia. It is also called MOI by Jakartans. This shopping center is located in Kelapa Gading Square. It stands on West Kelapa Gading street in North Jakarta.

The Mall of Indonesia’s story began with the Agung Sedayu Group. They started construction in 2003. The initial plan aimed for completion in 2006. But the mall only opened in August 2008.

Major anchor stores are a hallmark of Mall of Indonesia. Carrefour supermarket was there in 2006. BlitzMegaplex opened its third Jakarta branch. It was Kelapa Gading’s only BlitzMegaplex. Centro Department Store completed the anchor lineup. It opened on September 5, 2008. Moiland and Fun World also joined as new anchors. The MOI opened its Food Park in November 2008. It became the mall’s main food court.

Changes occurred in 2019. Uniqlo replaced Centro Department Store. CGV Cinemas was replaced by FLIX Cinema. FLIX Cinema is a flagship cinema owned by the Agung Sedayu Group.

The Mall of Indonesia is part of an integrated complex. It includes apartments and shops. This creates a unique environment. You can walk around MOI without dealing with heavy traffic. It feels like a separate city. Adjacent apartments ensure a steady flow of local shoppers.

Mall of Indonesia has undergone recent renovations. It blends local and international brands. MOI offers many activities for children. It has been branded as a family-oriented complex. Attached to the Mall of Indonesia is the All Sedayu Hotel Kelapa Gading. It provides convenient access to the mall. It’s ideal for shoppers or business travelers.

The Kelapa Gading area has a large Chinese Indonesian population. Restaurants tailor their menus to suit local tastes.

The Mall of Indonesia stands strategically in Kelapa Gading. Several hotels and shopping options are nearby. Mall Artha Gading is close to MOI. Lotte Kelapa Gading and Mal Kelapa Gading are also nearby.

Mal Kelapa Gading is the largest mall in the area. La Piazza offers outdoor dining and entertainment connected to Mal Kelapa Gading.
