M01 Desasiswa Restu opened its doors on May 15 2004. It wasn’t always here though. Before this location it was known as Desasiswa Cahaya Permai. The first warden Allahyarham Dr Jamaludin Osman oversaw the transition. He served until November 10 2006.

Life within M01 Desasiswa Restu is far from quiet. A student council MPDR the Majlis Penghuni Desasiswa Restu actively organizes events. These opportunities showcase student talent. MPDR also acts as a liaison between students and management. Residents can voice concerns directly through this organization.

The upper floors of M01 house Masters and PhD students. They represent a diverse range of backgrounds and nationalities. This adds to the vibrant mix of cultures already present within the college. It is a truly international community.

Even the laundry facilities are part of the story. Initially three washing machines and one dryer served the entire building. This reflects the college’s humble beginnings. Now it accommodates many more students.
