Lyndale Secondary College! It’s a giant, sprawling place, especially when you consider there were only 44 students here in 1961. That’s right, the school started with just a handful of students in a borrowed gymnasium at nearby Dandenong High School. It wasn’t until three weeks later that they moved to temporary classrooms. It was all a bit chaotic, but it was the beginning of something very special. Within a year, Lyndale had its own brand new building! The school has come a long way since those early days, growing to accommodate over 900 students. Today, its campus is a marvel, boasting a state-of-the-art STEM Centre, a Performing Arts centre, a well-equipped Graeme Fox Stadium, and a Resource Centre. It’s even got a distinctive maroon and yellow color scheme. You can see it in the uniforms, the walls, and even the school logo. You’ll be amazed at the vibrant energy. From the dedication of the teachers to the enthusiasm of the students, this is a place where learning really comes alive. It’s a testament to the vision of those who founded this school and the dedication of those who have kept it thriving for over 60 years.
